Self-massage for cervical osteochondrosis

Cervical osteochondrosis causes many unpleasant syndromes, such as:

  • violation of sensation in the cervical region, head, arms;
  • headaches;
  • dizziness;
  • hearing deficiency.

The list of diseases is far from complete. The most effective treatment for cervical osteochondrosis at home is self-massage.

How to make an effective self-massage for cervical osteochondrosis?

Patients suffering from cervical osteochondrosis need self-massage - that's what can really help them. It has been proven that the effect of a correct therapeutic massage is not only pronounced but also for a long time: the symptoms of osteochondrosis can disappear for several months after the first course. In addition, regular self-massage will help improve the condition of the cervical spine, slowing down the progression of the disease.

What methods are safe and harmless for our neck?

An effective method for cervical disease is self-massage, which implies a comfortable posture that can be performed in any comfortable chair. The movements start from the back and are stroking, shaking and squeezing.

At the beginning of the self-massage, the back region is worked between the shoulder blades, then they move to the shoulder girdle and chest area, located above the mammary glands. Massage shouldn't be painful. The more vigorous the movement, the less repetitions must be done.

Then, we go straight to the cervical region: towards the back of the neck, we do it with both hands along the spine, then, with squeezing movements, we massage the neck, replacing them with taps with the tip of the palm of thehand, for which we perform with our brushes on both sides of the spine and make 3-4 times the tightening movements. Finish by stroking the back of your neck.
